O Financial Times publica hoje um artigo de Edward Luce - America´s monetiser-in-chief - que cruamente conclui que a democracia norte-americana está refém dos poderes que as eleições de Novembro colocaram nas mãos de Donald Trump e do Partido Republicano. E que são optimistas aqueles que julgam que as instituições democráticas poderão funcionar de modo a que a presidência dos Estados Unidos da América não seja um fabuloso negócio para o actual ocupante da Casa Branca.
